When the delivery email left, or that it failed. You find out about a bounce here rather than a week later.
Download tracking
Know whether they opened it.
You send the files and then you wait. Campsend records when the delivery was first opened and when a file was first downloaded, so the follow-up email stops being a guess.
What gets recorded
Three moments and the time of each.
When the recipient first opened the delivery page. They arrived. Campsend has no record of whether they read anything.
When a file was first downloaded. That's the one most people are waiting for.
That includes the free plan. Tracking isn't something we sell back to you.
Why it means anything
One recipient makes it an answer.
A tracked link that's been forwarded around tells you somebody opened something. That's not the question you had.
One delivery, one person
Each delivery is addressed to one email address, so "opened" means that person opened it. A client team of five is five deliveries, which is more work and the reason the answer is worth having.
Where you see it
On the delivery's own page as three steps with times, and across the whole account under Activity, which keeps a year of history.
Ask instead of looking
With an API token, Claude or any client that speaks the Model Context Protocol can answer "was last week's delivery opened?" without you opening a browser. Campsend for developers.
What it doesn't do
Campsend records it and waits for you to look.
These are worth knowing before you rely on it.
No notification
Campsend doesn't email or push you when a delivery is opened. The record is there when you go and look, and that's all it does today.
First time only
Only the first open and the first download are recorded. Come back a second time and nothing new appears.
Not a read receipt
Opening the page isn't reading the work, and downloading isn't approving it. What you get is whether the handover happened, which is the part that used to need an email.
Who asks for this
People who deliver work.
Creative agencies
Several people sending, and a producer who needs to know what landed. Client file delivery for creative agencies.
Photographers
A shoot delivered, and an answer to the only question you have after sending it. Client file delivery for photographers.
Video editors
An export the client says they haven't seen, on the call where you already know. Client file delivery for video editors.
What it costs
Nothing on any plan.
Tracking is on the free plan and every paid one. Plans differ on people, storage and how large one delivery can be. Tracking is one part of client file delivery.
